Michael Maven can pass as your average people-watcher, sipping a drink, blurring into any background.

Except he is not.

If Michael is watching—someone is going to be relieved of something valuable, big-ticket, and possibly even rare.

Professional thief Michael carefully observes his marks. He studies their routines, knows their schedules, monitors their comings and goings. Out on a job to secure a rare coin, Michael’s score is intruded on when his target returns home early, inebriated, and in the company of a stunning beauty—an assassin trained to kill. Michael loses the rare coin, but he gets away with his life.

Michael is soon swept away in a dangerous pursuit when a cut-throat cartel leader, partners him up with the gorgeous assassin Katarina, to steal an important notebook from the clutches of his rival cartel.

Reading Safecracker is like watching a blockbuster film at the cinema. Every page a cinematic scene chockfull of technicolor action.

Safecracker buzzes with explosive action and electrifying thrills. It is fast-flying, riding shotgun.

I can’t express how much I hope Ryan Wick can get Michael into a series.

A firecracker debut-novel.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press Thomas Dunne Books for Ryan Wick’s read of Safecracker.
